How to Start a Raw Diet

Detox is the most important phase in beginning your raw food lifestyle.

Your body is full of toxins that need to be cleared out. These toxins get into your body by the foods we eat, our polluted environment and the water we drink. In fact all cooked food leaves behind and creates a toxic environment.

Once you cleanse this environment with a series of colonics or a trusted herbal laxative you will find your raw food journey much easier to stick with.

One great benefit is that because you’re clean on the inside you stop craving cooked food. So you have a greater change of not only sticking to your raw food lifestyle but enjoying it and not feeling deprived.

Here are some excellent resources to help you choose the right cleanse to begin your raw food lifestyle with. Remember that you can use any cleanse that works for you.

If you are new to cleansing you can try

Senna Leaf Tea three nights in a row. *Note* it does cramp your stomach. I have a little trick for that though. Add one peppermint leaf teabag to it and no cramps.

Recently I tried Super Clense and it worked without cramping my stomach. I highly recommend it.

One famous cleanse that you can try is Dr Gunger's Clean Program Clense. I never tried it personally however many people seem to be getting outstanding results with it.

Here are some books on cleansing and beginner raw food recipes to get you off to a great start.
