My name is Shernell Cooke, my real name by the way. For as long as I knew myself I’ve always been interested in food.

Its kind of a family business, both of my aunts own small restaurants in Barbados and several of my cousins are classically trained chefs. 

I got most of my training working for the Hyatt Company were I worked under an industry veteran.

He taught me the rules of the culinary industry and soon I was impressing top management with my own culinary skills.

I also took classes at the famed Institute of Culinary Education were I was taught by Andrew Friedman, James Peterson who's the author of thirteen cook books and Marge Perry just to name a few.

I got into raw foods because I was forced to take one medication that I still have to take today.   This medicine made me fat for lack of a better word, it also gave me pimples and made me tired.

I then received a raw food book and never looked back. 

I also studied dietetics in college however I dropped out. I hate phytonutrient  talk and the traditional food pyramid is so WRONG. I like simple, easy, doable and raw vegan of course. !
