This raw cake had a crust that was simply out of this world. I made an orange toffee crust out of raw nuts and orange peel to compliment the pumpkin flavor in the cake.
Filling
Raw Cashews
lemons
cinnamon
ginger
maple syrup
pink salt
Carrot juice
blend
Crust
Raw Almonds
raw sunflower seeds
Raw Pecans
Soak nut for 6 hours
Process
Raw dates
Raw Apples
cinnamon
maple syrup
with soaked nuts
dehydrate overnight
Process dried nuts in the food processor with a little water
Place into a pie pan
Pour in the cashew filling and freeze for 7 hours.
Orange peel gives great flavor to many raw dishes. You can use it in raw pie crusts,raw granola even raw chocolate recipes,so when you juice those oranges use a vegetable peeler to peel and harvest your orange rind.
